Safety

Safety is our biggest priority. The best ride will always be the one you come home safely from. ATVs are not toys. While they are extremely fun, they can also be very dangerous. Never ride outside of your abilities, and always wear the appropriate safety gear. Read your owner’s manual to familiarize yourself with your ATV.

Youth Safety:

Due to COVID-19 restrictions V.E.S.T. (VASA Education & Safety Training) will only available in an online format for 2022.

The Vermont State Police offer an online ATV safety course for ages 12-18. It is the same curriculum that is taught in the VEST courses in a convenient online format. Students can study and take pretests for free, but the certification exam has a cost of $34.95 per student. Please check out the online course.

Youth/Adult Safety:

Due to COVID-19 restrictions ATV Safety Institute (ASI) will not be available thru VASA for 2022.

VASA can also offer hands on half day courses through the ATV Safety Institute (ASI). These courses are hands on and require you to bring your own equipment unless prior arrangements had been made. We can accommodate youth, adult or mixed courses. This course is suitable for those with no previous riding experience.  For further details on participating on this course, contact the VASA office or visit ASI’s website.
